hello all, dont know if this has been posted allready but trefor pier n/wales is shut due to it apparently falling appart and the local council cant afford to repair it allthough theyve spent 250 grand on a toilet block situated on the carpark intended for fishermen and the like,i went there last week and was gutted,fished off the wall and blanked,just thought it might save someone a wasted journey,p.s my m8 caught a doggy as did another fellow both on sand eel....hi chris p if you read this,my m8 you knew from morfa recomends you highly as do i thanks for the advice etc last year

my other half has just read this topic and put me onto a winner,i will be going down to my local shropshire union cannal with our kittens,using large trebles and wire trace AND inserting corks(pop ups) as people are always throwing kittens in there,probably all canals, so the pike have allready got a taste for them :cool:

believe me or not i once saw a catfish take a swimming rat from the surface on a cheshire pond!! and having 2 cats and 5 kittens to get rid of it seems like a realy good unused bait,also i have "thrown" the cats into my pond lots of times and it dosent bother them, they still fish there. :cool:

i live on the wirral and about 4yrs ago saw 2 common + 1 mirror carp on ice in birkenhead market in a fish stall! i couldnt believe it + went back twice to have alook, even persuaded the missus to have a look, not that she was botherd,just to have a witness,both fish were about 2lb + i new they would end up in the bin! every time weve been there since ive not seen any,but there probably has!

yea ive bought stuff from askari you have 2 be carefull as some gear is reasonably crap! BUT alot of bargains are 2 be had, this is where they sell heron sh1t on potatoes!!!

ive currently got a keenets 'net' which has a block fixed to the arms,is it possible to remove this and use a block that can be left on the handle? i.e so i could fix the net to handle quicker.
