so what knots do i use to tie the braid to the mono? Also what about to swivels etc is there a site that shows which knots to tie?

They are not supposed to attract by smell. They are supposed to attract by taste! I know this sounds daft but how do the fishbites attract by taste? i thought fish could smell baits when some days you can use all diffrent baits and not catch a thing then when you use old smelly lug and catch.

It's from the boat we went fishing realy fab day sun was out flat calm scenery was great as colin said.We caught mostly spurdog afew whiting and afew thornies but a good day we all had.Saint like what you said near the end the skipper had taken us to the quarry buy no one caught there, planning to go back at the end of the month.

Me and my mate were up at Arbroath on Friday at Deils head we caught nothing we walk back down to the carpark and fished from there he caught a small codling then he caught a 4 bearded rockling the two of us have never seen one before then when i picked up my rod i have one to, His one looked like it was pregnant we put them both back i have been told if they are there, there will be no cod about as cod eat them dont know if this is true but we never caught any.

My house looks out to the forth and everytime i look out i think of them and there familys.

I was in the tackle shop today looking at rods then ask about what trace i would need. The guy didn't know that much about sharks as the other guys were out how much wire trace would i need and mono to the main line? Is 250lb mono okay to the main line?

I havent got a pic yet but did take one. On the way up we stopped at loch long to see if we could get a boat but they were all taken glad we went up to Carrick.
