  9. Will you be staying on shore and letting someone else take it out then
  10. Yep will be there don't know how much fishing I will get in, as the misses is coming as well. Finding somewhere to stay was a bit of a chore every bed and breakfast for miles around was full. There were some spaces in the dive centre for Friday night and the Sunday night, with the possibility of the saturday as Mark had an unconfirmed booking. Anyway weve got ourselves a caravan up by Nicks somewhere Friday, Saturday and Sunday. see you all there.
  11. Call that a job, the guy we are working for at the moment has told us we are having the day off on Friday to go golfing in Devon he has booked a cottage and is still going to pay us for the day as well. Hopefully won't be able to here either you or Jabee at Easter as we are staying in a caravan somewhere up the hill. Whats the final tally/delegate list for Easter weekend then. We all love you really Norrie Cheers Gareth
  12. I've shared a room with you though and he is definitely right
  13. Here I am. So am I not invited as well then. Was probably going to be in Glasgow over Easter so will probably pop up with the better half for a night or two (if theres any room). John can you confirm the south coast dates back to me please.
  14. Take him to court the theiving bastard, funnily enough I am in court tomorrow to claim back £5k owed to me by a customer, but as someone has said it can be a slow process the court will want to see that you have made reasonable effort to recover the money before going to court. So you should first sen him a demand for payment with a copy of your invoice giving him time to pay (something like 14 days) and then if he still doesnt pay you send him a letter before action stating that if he doesn't pay you within a further 14 days then you will take him to the small claims court. If he still doesn't pay, then nail his arse in court. My advice would be to try to stick to your timescale as rigidly as possible and don't make any threats you have no intention of carrying out. That way he will see you are serious. ie if he must rply to you by Wednesday the 3rd and he doesn't then carry out the next action bang on the 4th. Send all correspondance at least recorded delivery and then he will have to sign for it, keep the stubs so you can track whether it has been delivered , on the royal mail website. keep a log of any phone conversations (although I would recommend that you refuse to enter into negotiations over the phone)and any correspondance as this will become your particulars of claim or evidence should it go to court. If you need any help filling out any of the forms just pop down to the court and they will help you out, or give us a shout. Gareth
  15. I think a fair few of us might be wobbling xmas afternoon. Between the ages of 17 and about 25 me and my mate used to fish Blenhiem Xmas day the only concession to Xmas was a bottle of port and a stilton, however you would have a job dragging me away from my xmas lunch nowadays, too.
  16. once again brilliant glad you had a good trip
  17. Brilliant Dave,sounds like a fantastic trip.

    Penn 525

glenn don't mess about try any of these contacts below. Nigel will either sort you out with a schematic if you are confident sorting it youself or send it to him he will probaly sort it for you and get it back to you quicker than you can get the parts from Penn and it will almost certainly cost you less than £15 he will do a service on a multi for £9.95 plus parts plus postage. Used to think why does anyone need someone else to service/fix their reels until after Nigel tried to find a schematic for an obscure import Diawa, he said send it to me i'll see what i can do. i sent it and sure enough 3 weeks later he had sourced the parts and fixed it for me at a cost of £22 incl. postage If you don't get anything but total stisfaction from him then I'll pay for the repair and though I have dealt with him i have never met the bloke, but would vouch for his integrety anytime. 19. What do you mean, ask jabee. Johns the king at delegating tea duties. this more like his usual tea making position.
  20. would agrre with the accelerator too and would also agree a beefier reel such as a slosh would be more the mark, I have both 525s and slosh 30s and would be far happier using the slosh.
  21. As Ken says Rob is a great guy and you will have a wail of a time.
  22. sorry haven't actually bothered to read through all the post on this subject as it seems un-believable that one man thinks he can prevail over common sense on this subject. His one man objection is trying to put the blame on the decline in fish stocks at the door of the angler/bait digger. Where does he think he is coming from if he thinks that our fish stocks rely on the food they can find within 500m of the shore. If you want to look at the destruction of fish habitats and feeding grounds then look at the damage done by trawlers the effect of collecting bait is a mere drop in the ocean compared to that. Does the proposal include what would be the illegal dreging for crabs and worms that trawlers would be involved in. This is just my immediate response to the first couple of pages , of what I have read on this thread.I will read it all tomorrow and comment further if need be. Leon I'm sure you can make an appropriate response on behalf of the local anglers and put this one where it belongs before it gets out of hand.
