  7. if you haven't got Photoshop or other programs I found this little freeware tool on another forum for removing unwanted cables etc from your images its a cross between an eraser and a clone tool worth a look. wire pilot also might be worth looking to see what other freeware for editing as there may be some various handy tools worth looking at for edditing. hope that's of some help to someone and not been posted before. Ollie.

  11. Cheers for your input sharkbyte and i suppose its an alternative to digiscoping but i think im gonna go the scope way....even though it may take some time to get set im sure the wait will be worth while. the deer was just a starter of what i want to see and thinking on the lines of small birds and wildlife i feel there is no other way the to digiscope. thanks for the info on the deer and getting down wind and that though im definitely gonna use that to my advantage in the future Den sorry mate forgot to send you a pm...unfortunately its a far drive for me but maybe in the future when im set up we could have a meet somewhere in the middle. once again cheers all for your input and i'll keep you posted on my progress Ollie.
  12. cheers for all the advice on this subject Den and i have to say i've been looking into the bird forum on the fuji and like you say it don't look to good for digiscoping so thinking im gonna give digiscoping it a miss for a while till i can afford another suitable camera, but i think i'll still buy a scope in the new year and get used to it. may even offer my camera up to see how bad it really is....... as ayjay said. once again thanks all for your info. Ollie. <<<<< adds new camera to his Christmas wish list!!! lol what with that, a spotting scope and many various filters im sure to get one.............surely!! lol ps......what specs would you say to look out for on a nice scope to start off with and what sort of price would you expect to pay for a begginer? cheers
  13. Cheers for the replies chaps Have had a quick glance at the link tony and have to say many great tips on there and i feel i'll be looking more in depth over the next week or so till i decide what im going for.... thanks for the info. Den also thanks for your reply mate....the distance i put down was mainly for big animals (dear mainly) rather then birds which i suppose i should of said before....sorry. Like you say there are many digiscope sites around and it will probably take alot of time deciding on what to go for and how much to spend but hope the outcome will be worth the wait. cheers and i'll try find that pic of your set up to see whats what. Ollie. Just seen you edited your reply as i was typing so had to edit mine.....as you answered something i was asking...lol Sounds very tricky to me but im willing to stick it our if i can get set up! have read in many places that 90% of pics i take i will be deleting!! lol sounds fun! anyway i shall have a look into that site and see what the replies have been to similar questions to mine. Once again many thanks for your replies and i'll probably be back with some more questions soon.... Ollie
  14. Hi peeps Just a quick one for you.......im looking to get a spotting scope in the new to try with my fui s5600 and wondering on what i should be looking out for? what numbers of lens and magnification would be a reasonable for a beginner and what sort of price range would i be looking at for one that could cope with taking pictures of wildlife from 300yrd upwards, also would i be able to get moon shots through one? many thanks and i look forward to you suggestions. Ollie. ps, one other thing would be where would you suggest getting the clamp or adapter from? cheers
