  1. Found out this Morning via their website and phone number as of today Bennets of Sheffield are in liqidation http://www.bosfish.co.uk/ anyone with a claim will need to contact the liquidators Wilson Field on 01142356780
  2. The fawley side is non fishable there is an exclusion zone for anchoring anywhere near the refinery terminal also if you anchor in the main shipping channel you will be moved on by the port authoritys
  3. Lets hope it remains good as we are out on a 70 hr on the 14th August Mr Motorola a report would be nice as we dont hear much from the chieftain these days
  4. Someone needs to publicise the petition nationaly and using the media could this be an opportunity? The need to spell out that this will cause the downfall of the uk charter fishing as well as lost jobs for the tackle trade and the loss of enjoyment of all pleasure anglers I have been fishing for over forty years and i for one can assure you if this becomes law i will not bother and flog my tackle
  5. Not sure if this is what your looking for but try this link http://www.fishingweightmolds.com/producti...php?product=221
  6. AHHHHH!!! skipper says no chance cant understand that as ALL the weather info says it is good weather a year of planning holidays booked for nothing if anyone knows of any similar boats that do the same sort of thing PLEASE let me know looks like i be looking for another BOAT
  7. we are due for the off on thursday subject to the weather should know later tonight (wednesday) looking at the surface pressure charts looks ok to me but then the skipper has the final say looks like lots of rain but not too much wind will post a report on monday if we go
  8. Howd it go Mr Motorola just itching to get some info on the fishing on board Any news would be much appreciated
  9. Nice one Mr M At long last a report from the boat hopefully more to come and a good days fishing too boot dont know whats happened to the reports on the web site but nothing at all has been posted Just wish they could keep this section regularly updated Who knowes it just might drum up some more business for the skipper and co owners
  10. look forward to seeing you there Mr M there was originaly eight of us but unfortunatley four dropped out lets hope the weather holds out It was posted up on the available places for about two days then replaced with another trip prior to that one We have also spoken to Des who informes us there have been a few improvements to the boat over the winter
  11. We are out on a 70 hour trip on Chieftain on the 10 july there are still EIGHT spaces left if anyone is interested please contact chieftain direct looking forward to putting some faces to names
  12. I take it none of you have seen the deadliest catch just for an example when those fishermen target cod they catch nothing but cod using cages selective fishing no discards
  13. Best idea i have heard yet europe meddles in uk affaires and influences uk policies to the detrimental effect on citizens of the uk (immigrants excluded) its about time this country told the E/U where to go and managed its own resources for the benefit of UK Citizens in this country weather they be Commercial /RSA/ or the housewife down the road Stop thinking Pro Europe and think about the people of England dont think i will be paying for any licence as this announcement has prooved to me we will get jack S**t in return for it
  14. I like you have no wish to discredit The skipper or crew of the chieftain but yes mistakes were made the two buckets of fish were left over night for two reasons the crewman dissappeared for a couple of hours while anglers were fishing this led to a backlog of filleting which eventually darkness put a stop to. and of course the extra filleting needed for the extra passengers that were carried at the time increased the overall amount As for the food we could not fault it well done Joyce
