just got back from Sun pier again this afternoon and there were 2 polish anglers. fishing away catching coddling, whiting and pouting to about 7-8 inches. had a bag full em'. whats the point in taking fish that size. they will only be bone. and they couldn't even tell the difference between a bass and a pouting. shows how much they know about british fishing and our species. Wanted to say something like last week but bottled it as they looked weired and with a filleting knife on the floor i kept quiet. Shame the real fishing police wern't there if they exist. Anyway tight lines and enjoy this decent weather while it lasts Matt

cor thats only 9 degrees at the moment. i scuba dive in there and with 2 wet suits on and water temp of 15 degrees it stil can get a bit chilly.

Dave our livebait is still out there mate. lol. now if i found someone taking a mullet then i may have to think of other reasons to get the fish back alive. Matt

all i said was that i'm a fishing officer. o well i know i've done a good deed for a day. it may only be 1 fish but to me its not about the amount that went back, its the feeloing that you have just saved a baby fish's life and someday who knows what size it could grow too.

went down to sun pier the on monday to find 3 chinese fisherman fishing in strong winds. they were catching bass but only 7-8" in length. when i went down 1 man was going to keep roughly a 6" lenght bass and i thought to my self that has to go back. so off i went to have a chat with him and what i could understand of his dodgy english. i said that fish has to go back alive NOW!!! or you will be hit with a £200. he said no and got a bit mouthy. so i said that i was the Fishing police officer and he said sorry for his actions, put the fish back alive packed up and went. not too bad at the moment. i'm popping up to work tonight and i'll see what dates i've got off between the times you are off. its a bonus to as i'm off from 6th form aswell. matt

not bad sea fishing down here in the medway towns at the moment. quite a few lakes around here as well.

no 1 called Dave is allowed to fish at center parcs. its their rule. hehe

yes there is mate. the main people for the medway mullet is Leon Roskilly and Andrew Boyd who run the medway mullet club. theres no fee to join or anything. just a social club for people whom mullet fish. we meet at the ship and trades pub on the 1st thursday of every month if you want to come along (we don't just talk about mulelt though). i fish very often in the warmer months on sun pier after the mullet where there are some monster fish to be had. at the end of last season i had 1 of 7lb 2oz of sun pier so will hoping to beat that again this year.
