Any advise on how to find the deepth of the water and on finding where the fish are feeding in relation to depth. I usually set my float up and then add a ssg weight to the hook, continuelly adjusting the depth until the float sits right. The problem I find with this method is that if you don't hit the same spot every time the float may be overdepth or under depth etc. Any advise is appreciated. Thank you, Kelvin

I am relatively new to course fishing and was wondering... ...when should and when shouldn't you use ground bait? I fishing a stretch of cannal that holds the usual suspects, tench, rub, roach etc. I tend to only fish using a waggle close of near the bottom, unless I see signs of movement on the top. The area of canal I fish (neath canal, south wales), is in areas weeding with patches of open water and lilly pads. Thank you all in advance. Kelvin

Hello All, Well what can I say, thanks to everyone who has every posted on this site. I have spent the last coupple of hours reading through some good posts. I am relatively new to course fishing and really need some help. I spent the last 6-8 years sea fishing. Since I bought a house last year I have not had the time to go sea fishing (fishing gone quite poor anyway) and as a result I have restarted course fishing. So my first questions are, does anyone who fishes the south wales area read these forums? I primary fish canals, and was wondering what I should be targeting this time of year, is it to early to target tench? Thanks, Kelvin

i had teh same problem and ended up using instant gasket from your local motor shop. It done the trick. hope this helps, kelvin

hi i definately would take the rod as a couple of week back there was a guy getting macky on the feathers so im guessing with the recent weather there will definately be a couple of fish about. kelvin

what u mean is that pricey for 2 kayaks with paddles and back rest and boyacy aids????? kelvin

I ended up buying SIT ON PELICAN VIPER KAYAKS for £500 with back rests paddles and roof straps, so not a bad deal, or and they are only 6 months old(look brand new), so know im think do i sell them on or keep them, what do youy lot recon??? kelvin

thanks for the response the thing is if i travel from wales to devon to pick them up then its adding another £40 on petrol but then that still only 220 per kayak and thats got to be cheap??? thanks anyway. kelvin

hi, I have just solt my gemini perciption tandom kayak for £400 and im now on the look out for two single seater kayak. I like the look on the frenzes. Im looking at paying about £450 max for both, i know this is not a lot but anyone got any ideas whgere to get a pair from. Thanks, kelvin
