  6. during last summer i installed a fish finder, however i couldnt get the transistor & power lead to fix tidily so i made the foolish mistake of making the hole larger, however im a bit concerned that it is not completely sealed. Anyone one know a way inwhich i can completely seal it . I was thin of using rubber out of a bycicle tyre, and silconning that into plave an dthen maying a smaller hole in this to place the leads therought and then completely covering this again in silcon. what you think??? Also does anyone know a good suplly of marine grade silcon. Another thing is that during last year i was caught buy a bad wav on the wave back in and i have broke my rod holder. Now that iwant to replace these i have four wholes in the plastic, i was thinking of putting flust mounts in it place would thsi be ok if not what can i ue to plug the holes(the same as size as the width of teh screw)???? I would like to also resilcon my hatches to ensure they are water tight. In case some of you are think this seems like a loot of work, the reason im doing all this is becuase when me and brother went out in it over the last summer when ever we came back to shore there was a couple of pints of water inside the kayak. Also do you think it would be best for me to do a water test(gfill the kayak with water from the inside) before cdoing this work??? thanks, kelvin
