my dad has just built a house nr silves up in the monsheit (bad spelling) mountains, he keeps asking for fishing info, he wants a little boat etc when he finally moves in april.

one of those collapsable shopping baskets/nets, (from various clothes shops) weighted like a lobster pot in the bottom, filled with chum, then sown up works a treat!!! allows the water to flow through rather than pushing it all over the place, i use it from the shore mainly, but cant see a problem using it off a boat, it folds up when finnished and easy to carry! the rope is more awkward to carry, lol. i'm usually the one swearing at my reels birdsnests on the cliffs of north cornwall, mart aka skel

just got back, fished over high tide, 3 lb bass, loads of whiting and dogfish and a small rockling!!

Hi all, i'm new here, just to say nice forum, i play online games hence the name i.e. skeletor (my game name), i fish the north cornish coast, from Clovelly (devon) down to Padstow. I'm off to my favourite mark nr New Polzeath tonight, a few weeks ago caught dozens of big doggys and shed loads of whiting. Loaded up with lug, rag, mackerel and squid tonight, so i'll let you know tommorow of the outcome.
