Camping this weekend with my kids at freshwater beach,fishing for mackerel. In the evening intend to try for bass,does anybody know of any good spots nearby.Will be using fresh mackerel and lures.Any upto date info appreciated thanks mark

Just out of curiosity how do you accurately weigh these massive fish on a small boat.I have trouble with 40lb tope in a weigh sling :confused:

Scotty, you will have to find out what current the electrics draw and fuse accordingly but make sure the current rating of the cable is greater than the fuse.There are no fuses between the battery switch/isolator and the batteries. Inverter- sorry havn't got a clue!!

Hi Elton, are you looking to store your boat or moor it at a marina.If you are going to trail it around you could try Felixstowe Sea Angling Society as they have a compound at landguard point which is very cheap, if you join the club.They launch from the Deben. The problem with Levington is you have to motor out a very long way to get to any decent fishing spots.You can launch all states of the tide though. Brightlingsea is further to get to but there's a lot more fishing to be had. Good luck in your search. mark

Thanks Sam, wasn't after specific spots,i think going at weekend maybe the problem.Perhaps go thur fri evenings before the rush! Ashley thanks for info, i might try around the pontoon legs a couple of evenings sometime soon.I'll post how i get on.

Hi Sam, did you go crabbing this weekend and if so how did you do.The reason for asking is I only got a few peelers and a few jellies.2-3 hours sat near St Peters church and 2 hours sun at burnham.From reading your posts i'm either looking in the wrong places or this last cold spell has stopped them peeling.Any ideas?,as with petrol costs my peelers are about £8 each On the way home stopped at N Fambridge looks a good spot for bass, anyone tried it?

Jabee I only get out once a fortnight(fishing that is) I intend to fish from Littlehampton for the bream in a few weeks and off of Margate for the bass.Also want to fish at Salcombe in september.Always willing to meet up

Elton, if you go to lowrance.com you can download simulators and practice using all the functions before you get on the water.My new boat arrives in june and i have decided to get the lms-332c.I only wish i could get it from the states as it is half the price over there
