  5. Hello John Cant help you with a silstar, just keep a lookout on ebay. I was reading this months match angler and shakespeare has a new range of rods out called superteam LXL which may suit you. The rods are dual length and theres three in the range, 12'/16', 13'/17' and 14'/18'. The clever thing about the rods is instead of a dolly but to up the length, the rods have two different handles. This is supposed to improve the action of the rods and stop the loss off performance which can result from the use of a dolly but. Anyway I thought the 12' mode may suit your needs. Gary
  6. Yes nice reel but could not us the centre drag, Iv'e used shimanos with fighting drags for to long. I thought I Would put it on here because there's quite a few barbel anglers and I'm told they like them.
  7. Only used a couple of times so in very good condition. Boxed with instructions, original grey reel bag (unused) and spare spool. RRP £89.99 cost me £69.99 will take £35+pp If interested please pm me.
  8. Enjoyment in one word. I find myself more and more fishing with a waggler or when possible (lack of flow) the stick. Also the float on running line (rod and reel) is a very adaptable method.

  13. I made a crossbow out of the fibre glass struts of my peter powel stunt kite. Made a gun out of a bit of pipe, bent the end over and hammered it closed. Clamped this in a vice fixed vice onto a pair of steps. Rammed a banger, some guncaps(scrapped the powder off and used this)and the heads off a box of Matches. Then rammed down some cotten wool and then some 177 pellets and some other little bit and pieces. Then put a lighted blow torch on the end and then I ran. Result large Bang small hole in dads shed and me grounded for two days

  15. My BSA motor bike,BSA supersportair rifle, My microscope and my large rubber ball(clear rubber with coloured swirls inside). If I ran anything over or shot anything(rabbits rats on the farm my uncle worked on) I could cut it up and look at the goo with my microscope. Sadly the rubber ball came to a rather bouncy end. While visitting the local hospital with my mum I lost control of the said ball and watched as it bounced down the hill from the front gates of the hospital. I was sad but enthralled to watch it gain hight and speed and finaly disappear over a large roundabout at the bottom of the hill.
