  1. I've got an old Subaru Forester, permanent 4x4,rock solid, holds as much gear as anyone has. Love,Ian
  2. I'm stopping here for a couple of days soon, and it has a "well stocked" coarse lake.I wondered if anyone had fished there,or knew anything about it? Ian
  3. I fish reservoirs for pike in the close season, but return them asap,I only weigh big ones(>10lbs),and only photograph PBs(currently>21lbs).I've timed myself ,and they're usually out of the water for less than a minute.I also use 40lb braid, and get them in asap,to reduce stress. Ian
  4. Also worth looking in the venues on this site www.yorkshirefishing.net Ian
  5. Never tried them, but can see the argument in favour of increased leakage, probably worth trying, but easy enough to make your own. Ian
  6. Lots of good stuff here http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/Carp-Fishing-Articles/ or try the carp forum. Ian
  7. Ignore chesters,he's got the tolerance level of a rottweiler.Look at Okuma reels, they re decent, and good value for money. Ian
  8. Look here http://www.yorkshirefishing.net/content.php?article.117
  9. I've got the 1.5lb version of this http://www.climaxtackle.com/nash/barbel_elite_rod.htm ,I really like it. Ian
  10. You'd be close to Ulley reservoir, and Rother Valley Country Park, too. Ian
  11. Take it to Ayr,you might end up with an old trout. Ian ;-
  12. Just been to my local Tesco,and their fishing gear is 1/2 price.It's mostly crap,but I got a 3m Angling Foundation approved keepnet,with bankstick,for £4.93 Ian
  13. Does anyone know if this is day ticket, and if sio where I can buy one,or which book is needed? Ta,Ian
  14. Sorry I snapped,but I couldn't possibly name a water. Ian
  15. I use 40 lb braid for deadbaiting, and don't routinely take pictures. My catches are out of,and back into the water ASAP.I've only ever had one deep-hooked pike, which was on a lure, and recovered and swam away.I was fishing a reservoir, and,if you like,I'll start picking holes in your posts too. Ian
