  4. could it be a conger davey? judging by the size of the fish and the size of the bite, the attacker wasnt much larger than the fish that was caught

  8. defo not a conger its a silver eels. the other is a wrasse, but not sure which?
  9. the holderness coast has seen these changes too with the arrival of the smoothounds sure, we always had the odd one or two but this year they has been hundreds, 1 or 2 a year was the norm but this year i have had a few sessions where i have had over 10 smoothys between 5-8lb roll on global warmin )
  10. we caught tope in wales few years ago hooked tope where been followed right up to the surface by its pack mates so im sure they would feed on the surface if the food is on the surface, then the tope aint gonna be laid on bottom are they? same with any fish i suppose i have even caught flounders float fishing about 2 ft deep in 12ft of water in scotland
  11. not much sand in my backyard m8 just a bit of grass and some old bags of cement

  18. there is a few get caught m8 but the dont tend to venture much down the river, plentyin the mouth around spurn and cleethorpes tho
  19. hi m8 i only tend to fish the humber in the winter time whilst codding and whiting bashing, but the best winds on there are a big southerly or south east wind coupled with big tides. the coast however seems to do best on south-west/ west / north west winds
