  1. I'm sure he did that's why he started the thread. Can you ask your daughter about my mate?
  2. Yeah, the Chelsea Arsenal game was really terrible wasn't it? Actually, I used to share a flat with someone out of Eastenders (oh ho! the stories I could tell about those days ... could've made a fortune off the tabloids ) Still can't bring oneself to watch it however. I'd appreciate knowing if he's still in it or has been written out: he played a dodgy, workshy character called Keith Miller(?)
  3. Well, I'm open to suggestions. What would you use to catch double figure cod?
  4. paintfly

    Any good?

Yeah, does look more suited to rivers. Quite compact though, most of the duals I've seen have been monsters. Saw the Malibu range yesterday - massive!
  5. This is my version of Richi's idea. I used 3 straps: 2 front, 1 at the back (attached to a shackle at the rear carrying handle), to hold the box in place. Shortened the bungies and stretched them around, which still gives a bit of protection for lunch/tackle boxes in the space at the front and provides extra points to hook in paddle leashes etc. Used one of the redundant bungy buttons for the cool box lid fastener (also nicked one of the many surplus pad eyes the P13 has for the fixing at the hinge). Waste pipe attachments usually carry my nav light at the rear and landing net, front. But I find these so handy for all sorts of things, I'll probably put one on each corner.
  6. Yeah, bring on the cod! It was great to get out again yesterday: met Overrun, caught a new species and explored some of the more productive parts of Poole Harbour. Hello Sailor. Can this man get any more laid back?
  7. Think you still have to sit the exam to be able to use them legally though. Pity, because, as I understand it, though all the extra knowledge is no doubt interesting and valuable, the basic requirements for using a radio responsibly aren't that complicated? My VHF arrives next week and I expect I will have it with me when I fish until I decide on a date to sit the operators exam.
  8. Yeah, brilliant! looks like he's mugging you for your mobile (Thievin Peduncles)
  9. Cheers Phil. Richi, is this the best car park for launch? I'm getting rag, do I need squid/anything else? (maybe we can blag some pubes if we hang around the women's toilets )
  10. Yeah, I'm up for that. Where's Rockley?
  11. You're far too young to be stickin your nose in such matters
  12. Got these from the local Chinese Supermarket for £5 (4). Don't know how much head and guts there is left till I open them, but tentacles are still there. Was just going to stick one on a pennel rig till I saw this post (still might), but least I know about other options. Top post
  13. Who knows, our resident fly tier may already be working on a new range with names like: "The Snatcher" "The Ginger Minger" "Brazilian Beauty"
  14. How do you know which ones are hers? No, the only way to get a fresh supply without all the volatile oils having been washed out is to grab a handful when she's in the throws of passion and mumble oops sorry, if she notices. Could bring a whole new dimension to fluff chucking
  15. As long as you don't use hooks, you'll be perfectly safe
  16. I would have thought it'd be much easier to re-enter from the side/seating area and not have to clamber over crates, fishing rods and whatever else lies between the stern and the seat.
  17. No worries, Karen at Hook 1 has sorted everything out and just the 2 mounts are winging their way to me as we speak. Fingers crossed on the duty
  18. High Eels..Still can't believe I missed that one in the original post
  19. Great. Done (I think may have just ordered 6 mounts and 3 packs of rivets )
  20. Thanks Simon, yeah, there's a little triangular section in front of and on the same angle as the flush mounts on the P13 that will just fit. Presumably the angle makes no difference as they're ball joints? Can't get even the slightest flex out of it. Would well nuts work or are rivets better? How long does the slow delivery usually take?
  21. Wear something else on your feet - anything will do, trainers, dive boots, high heels (like Richi ).
