  1. Could anyone with a spare min take a look at my site please. Im looking for broken links, glaring errors, spelling and grammer mistakes etc. Im not too worried about coding or design issues etc. The site should centre on higher resolution moniters. Thanks in advance - Glenn http://homepage.ntlworld.com/lisa.broadley...%20ON/index.htm
  2. I recently set up a gallery that lets north east anglers upload thier pictures to the gallery attatched to our fishing club website. All was going well untill tonight when a new Member called Eason joined and posted something from the dark side. Should it stay or should it go ?
  3. Thanks for that insight it is useful.
  4. May well be bullshit, but expect more of it. Paul you must remember to think rather more holistically when talking about fish. There are other fish about, many species infact and anglers are impacting on some of them at least at local levels, I dont include cod in that statement though.
  5. Yep thats the one. I darent go in the computer cupboard now. I keep thinking bill gates is in there waiting to get me now.

  9. Did anyone get that annoying microsoft update the other day ? It's stuck a silly little icon in my tray which pops up every now and again with silly messages. Is it poss to get rid of the icon ? I checked msconfig and its not running fom there.
  10. Coleus do grow here but are frost tender so no good till june. One with lots of colour that doeasnt mind shade is everybodys fave - Busy lizzie. Astilbe (try astilbe sprite) like damp shade as do hostas. If you want a bush try Acuba (spotted LAurel) it will grow anywhere in anything. I also grow ferns in the shade. Anything that grows in a wood will grow with little light. Remember hydranga need acidic soil to thrive so dig a big hole and fill with leaf mould or peat.
  11. Some people eh. Just wont part with their cash . Is this only for boat fishing ? I was wondering if you were talking about those remote control boats that take your bait out and drop them.
  12. What is the edge please ? I know your not on about Bono's m8.
  13. Hi Guys, This is pretty interesting and I now have a question. You can pick up hosting for 15-25 pound a year with between 50 and 100 meg . Why do people pay £12 per month ? is it people are running bigger sites needing more Bandwidth ? or is there something else I missed ? I realise some sites are huge but the majority seem to fall well under 50 Meg. I think ? Do web designers charge more than the going rate for webspace ?
  14. Ive set up a sniper post too.
  15. Try webmonkey. Their tutorials are easy to follow with examples given in ways you can understand. http://www.webmonkey.com/webmonkey/referen...ylesheet_guide/
  16. http://hebrideshosting.net/ I use hebrides hosting. Its owned by Nick in the North of this forum. Its as cheap as anywhere and Nick has always been on hand to help me out whenever I need it. I am a member of Nicks Forum at ardgour angling and I simply PM him and he helps as soon as possible. What more could you want ? Oh he also set me up a free gallery for my website too. Top guy, cheep hosting with a personnal touch.
  17. Thanks Chesters. Ill give it a go.
  18. Dont know of anyone having fallen to thier death. I know a few people including myself who have had little falls. Not a pleasent exprience mind. A couple of years ago we fished a team from Brid in the Yorkshire 4's. The lad I fished wore the biggest pair of illuminous oilskins you ever saw. How he moved was beyond me. Anyways he took me fishing to Bempton (huge cliffs) The lad described a situation a couple of years earlier where he slipped in snow and sledged in his oilskins right to the cliff edge, only just stopping himself from going over by grabbing hold of some grass. I guess the height of the cliffs dont matter as you could fall off 10 foot and finish yourself off, but the fact the cliffs were nearer 400 foot and shear concerned me greatly. The fact he still wor the oilskins concerned me even more.
  19. Hi Cheers. I tried that Nick but the problem continued. Its now fixed with a patch from PB apparently the scanner classhes with the chipset. Sorted now. My next problem is scanning text documents. I scanned the tide table and used the microsoft document scanning software with language recognition. When I transfer to word it loses its tabuler format. Ie the tide displays in a long list down the left and not in a table. Any ideas ?
  20. Nope. Not a tin bath m8. One of my favourite venues that one. Lots of nice cod from that mark over the years. Its about 10 mins drive and then 10 mins walk from our house. Most of our marks involve cliffs of some description as very few areas around here give access direct to the shore. Very few beaches etc. If we cant get down the cliffs then we fish off the top.
  21. Photobuket is another and its a piece of cake. Register for an album at photobuket http://s43.photobucket.com/ upload an image from yer hard drive. When the pic is uploaded you get 3 choice url,tag and img. Select the img one and paste it in here. http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c5/big_cod/ Thats my album I use for posting to forums. It shows the img tag I called it big cod as paul uses it more than me.
  22. Ive had a scanner given. Its a packard bell 1200 diamond plus. Not bad for free. Trouble is it keeps jamming the computer up. Works a few times then the pc jams and wont let me exit through task manager - I have to reboot. Task manager says not responding but wont end task. I think it maybe sp2 related but im not sure. Any ideas on how to fix woul be appreciated ?
