  1. Ive heard that there have been a few decent cod caught from a boat right next to the baffle at bradwell. Has anyone been them catching off the beach? Cheers. Dom.

    Mice

we've used a plug in mouse scarer before and that seemed to do the job, havent had any problems yet
  5. there are a whole host of different baits that you could use, but some that i would recommend are: corn, small (3-4mm) pellets, chopped worm, hemp, casters, maggots. Probably a good start would be to sandwich a few grains of corn, a few small pellets, some chopped worm and some hemp between two plugs of groundbait (maybe Dynamite Baits Marine pellet ground bait). What tench/ carp in that lake could refuse? Good luck!
  6. Try rubbing the open end between fore finger and thumb. Usually works for me.
  7. Try getting two other people to pull and twist at the same time on either end of the jammed sections while you tap the joint with something like a piece of wood. Hopefully that will work, tell me if it does. Good luck.
  8. I was thinking of taking the hemp and maggot/caster aproach for the chub in ricketts mer backwater (maldon angling society) on friday and was wondering if anyone else has had good results doing the same thing? Or is there a better way?
  9. does the levelwind move across the spool as you reel in then?
  10. cheers for the replies, what does the level wind actually do?
  11. I read somewhere on the internet that when using braid on a multiplier without a level wind, the braid can get trapped into itself as it is not lying at an angle to the braid beneath it. Is this true, and does the level wind make the line lay at an angle to the line beneath it?

  16. cheers sam, when you say the slipway do you mean the one at the sailing club that is down that really long road to nowhere. muttley, ive pm'd you but its the first time ive pm'd someone so it might not work.
  17. I think youd be better of going with a small freshwater dead than a sea bait. If it is allowed on the water you are fishing i would try using live baits.
