While you all dream about what species you'd have in your fantasy bit of back garden fishing, remember that the above mentioned species probably frequent the area already. Do you think waters are devoid of life until we come along and stock them?

Personally, I'd rather it was full of nice perch, big wild brownies and something different....um.....tench....yes tench. I'm happy with that.

They probablyall live there anyway....lol

I've been there twice now (once each year) and you get a guided tour by the owners wife. Lake is about 1.5 acres with several bays, all overhung with willows and surrounded by reeds and many types of Iris and other waterside plants. Stream fed/topped up, and clay bed. They also own the surounding fields, bought to preserve their seclusion.

No carp (do I hear cheers? ) but lots of Rudd, whether there are other fish in there I do not know, but if it were mine, I would have to stock some Brownies and cast a delicate fly during the summer evenings :)

NO FISHING ALLOWED..............the owners do not fish and so there is a unique feel about the place, but for me, as an angler, it screams to be floatfished with a red tipped crowquill and centrepin..........................one can only dream, but even a £3million lottery win couldn't buy you that place.

Definitely reminds me of Redmire (when it still had its willows and magic)
