What exotics have shown up this year ?

from a book `there are giants in the sea' by Michael Bright, in 1908 the SS. Fiona steaming off Bird Island, Australia had a sunfish become entangled in its prop or rudder. Fish was recovered and measured 10ft long x 14ft top to bottom and weighed in at

2,235 kg ( 4,917 lbs). Got interested in the thread and just how big they could go. Found the above on the net, would be interested to try and find the book.

If I remember correctly there is a record of a huge (over 1000lb) one being caught off Greenock.. I dont remember ho long a go it was though or exactly what size.
