When it happened in Sussex they closed the beaches to prevent looting :(

Imagine that with thousands of cod anglers turning up to pack Dungeness!

(I could do with some timber to make some raised vegetable beds)

I remember that last incident, and the one with the container ship. Best thing they could do, surely, is let the scavengers clear the beaches as quickly as possible.

Looting? isn't it called beachcombing? I mean isn't it "driftwood" in every sense of the word?

I'm just fitting the trailer to the landy and making ready for a quick trip from sunny Herefordshire!

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

if the slick was intercepted before it hit the beach who would (wood  ) own it?

if the slick was "claimed" what would happen on it beaching?

if it were a boat then you would have salvage rights so what of a boats cargo whilst still afloat?
