Yup. Your name and stats display when you post but aren't really tied to the post. They are tied to your AN logon account and it keeps track of things for display with any post you make. However, they won't update within a particular thread until you post there or until you log off the forum and back on.

 

For instance, when I opened this topic, my post count in the reply just above yours was displaying 11198. When I made this post it jumped to the correct number of 11201. It may be higher by the time you see this post but as of the time I made it, 11201 was accurate.
