if so are they any good,

Have you tried the frozen ready-mades Elton or did you roll yourself?

 

I've never used Essential's baits, are they a hard or soft(ish) boilie?

Fairly soft. I've never rolled my own boilies, although I've used B5 rolled for me by Julian - perk of the job

I've got a preference for softer boilies and liked the sound of the B5's, just had the impression that they were rock solid for some reason.

If you want a good analysis of them, drop Julian a pm.

 

He liked them so much, he now does their site!

 

He won't give you any bull, either. He plays around with quite a few different baits, but B5 will rate among the top, I should think.
