loved the blue matches ,got them from my mums freemans catalogue ,i have carbon rod for floatfishing but still use my PDQ fiberglass one all the time :)

Talking of catalogues - in about `82, I ordered a fibreglass Daiwa Ivan Marks Harrier 13' from a club book - 20weeks at £2.00, or whatever it was. The good people there actually sent me the carbon version. At the same price. :):):)

Of course, I told them :rolleyes::D

My first reel was a black price and awful piece of kit. It was followed by a prince regent for christmas in 1974 on which I caught my first fish and loved until the head simply fell off one day when a pike of about 10lb grabbed a roach i was retrieving an made off with it.

Ive still got a MILBRO ENTERPRIZE the first with all glass spigots, had that out of club few bob a week. broke the tip and the club sent me complete new rod. took it into tackle shop (mates)and he got milbro to change tip FOC.Then sold that to me mate basically cost me sod all
