opticians persciptions

Might sound like a stupid question, I had my eyes tested the other day and i need some new glasses. I got the eyes done at a quite well known high street opticians but at the time i was late back to work so i didnt bother picking any new frames out and said i would go back later in the week. Now ive got the persciption can i take it to any other opticians for a better deal on glasses? Or do i have to go back to the one i had the test at?

Yes wayne you can.

 

Both my wife and daughter have done it, and saved more than just a few quid in the process.

An optical / eyewear prescription is exactly the same as a medication prescription. It specifies exactly how the lens should be made.

 

Any shop offering lenses and frames can fabricate your lenses based on that Rx.
