Common 40:

I just use a standard figure of 8 knot j_s  slip the loop over a disgorger or simular and pull tight, and dont cut the tag end too short

Your comment about not cutting the tag end too short displays a lack of faith in the line or your knot tying...

From personal experience, I have found fluorocarbon line does slip a lot more than braid or mono, but I trim my knots to less than 5mm and haven't had a knot failure failure in the last two years. But maybe I've just been lucky.

This is a signature, there are many signatures like it but this one is mine

evening all

try this way with fluro hairs.Leave a 3in hair and tie a std knottless knot, now slip a stainless ring on the open hair. Then pass the end of the hair back through the eye forming a stand up loop. Trim any excess leaving1/4inch out of the eye. with e lighter heat the tag end which causes a blob and stops the hair undoing. Now just tie on a bait of your choise to the stainless ring and you have a diynamite anti eject rig. HOPE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND MY TYPING.
