Well midweek when it's less busy and I would suggest any time from March onwards would be more productive. Don't know the water so can't comment on baits, but as usual get something of good quality and you shouldn't go too far wrong.

Cant say Ive ever fished there but i use source boilies for most of my carp fishing and they always seem to produce the goods.

good quality baits, and have a look at where the fish are. keep things simple with a good-quality bait in the right area and your on your way

I use maple8 and that always seems to work.

The match lake is heavily stocked with carp up to 26lb Maple8 popped up about two inches normaly gets results.

try richworth's tutti-fruity mate they are a classic bait,,, tight lines ,,,steve

speak to the locals prior to going down fella ! get an idea of what they are using then maybe have one rod using the bait they are on and then maybe a rod with a completely different bait i.e the fake stuff

 

richworth Tuttis would be a sound bet for the winter though

well i wud go about using the source boilies aswell because they account for alot of my fish especially in the winter!! go for watever takes ure fancy really!
