Carp facing extinction

Personally, I'd like the Aussies to come over here and sort out the Signal Crays. And I'll also be interested to see how it affects the male carp when females become a 1% rarity. Will they become sex-obsessed studs, andwhat effect will this have on their sporting qualities!

MPBDSNU, you make some very sweeping statements about me. I'm sure that you, and probably a few others see me in that light, for that I'm sorry. If I, or Cranfield for that matter, had said 'Carp facing extinction, good!' then I would share your views.

We have gone off topic, but there is rarely smoke without fire. You clearly disagree with both Cranfield and I. Your right, obviously. But perhaps, as a caring carper, you could take onboard our annoying misconceptions as constructive criticisms. Us two guys are so obviously wrong, but why are we saying what we are saying?

Perhaps we are not alone in our worries. Dear old Des Taylor, writing in Angling Times, would appear to be a tad concerned at the 'carp' influence. Now, I'm no great fan of Des, nor Angling Times for that matter, and I happen to think he goes to far on this issue, but he has his opinions.

Once again, in Angling Times, we have Keith Arthur. I'm not entirely sure about Keith! I've heard him talk on the radio and have been amazed at some of his views. But once again we have a man who appears, I think, to have his reservations about the 'carp' influence. Keith Arthur on radio might be one thing, but on paper he certainly writes and picks his topics well.

I think Nugg, bless 'im, makes some very valid comments. I'm pleased that you accept what he has said.

Me not criticising my fellow pikers? I don't think so !

You have asked me to elaborate. I'm sorry, I don't think that this is the place, nor the occasion, even if there were reason to do so.

I certainly do not wish this to become any more of a them and us thread than it has become already. Maybe I am wrong but I think that you have totally misconstrued the spirit of our comments and concerns.
