Hi Lurch (I used to love that character) and welcome to Anglers Net.

I'm moving this to the coarse section where it will get more looks and likely, more answers.

Join the Buckingham and District Angling Association - that will provide you with several lakes and a lot of river. Plenty to go at there, and very good fishing it is.

I don't know about angling clubs in Aylesbury itself, but I'm sure there will be some. Ask at the local tackle shop.

Welcome to AN

Depends what you are after but you have loads of canal on your doorstep plus startop, marsworth and wilstone resevoirs. Out towards Thame you have the river Thame up at leighton buzzard you get the start of the ouzel, Further up in MK you have loads of lakes and the upper ouse. If i remember correctly there;s a tackle shop on an industrial estate ask in there and i'm sure they'll point you in the right direction.

everytime i catch a fish i'm lucky when i blank i'm a hopeless angler.

Hi Lurch welcome to AN.Dont forget youve got Claydon Lakes (on the Leighton Buzzard ticket) just up the road from you.Not just Catfish either some great general fishing for bream and carp as well.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!
