on very sunny days do you lot use an umbrella because on my local big stillwater i see alot of anglers with umbrellas in nice weather??

 

and how on earth do you get the umbrella into the ground when its not on the soft side

Some folk use brollies to give them shelter from both the wind and the sun. Personally I rarely use one, preferring a good poncho if it rains.

Or use Dinsmore Powerdrive banksticks with a tommy bar to screw them in with.

Invest in a powerspike like Davy said its a lot quiter than a mallet and you will get your brolly in nice and secure. Even in the hardest gravel.

Hey, on my seatbox i have an attachment which fits on one of the legs of my box & i simply just slot it through the hole & tighten it up with a screw. I dont use a brolly unless it is raining, I am thinking of buying a bait brolly as my brolley gets in my way when swinging in fish. The Prestons off box brolley arm fits square legs. Also you can get one for round legs as well. Hope this is useful.
