Flooding in Luton

argyll:

The houses could well be Luton, but on reflection, even taking into account the flooding, I dont think the Lea is navigable that close to Luton.

It definitely wasn't Luton (Beds) as I said my my first posting. You would have to go a long way south of Luton Hoo before you get a boat as big as those in the picture to float in it and then you would have difficulty in turning it around. I can assure you that there is nowhere in Luton that could handle boats of that size except Luton Town Football Ground if they were in an exhibition. Wherever that place is obviously has a river running past the front of those houses and it has burst its banks and that definitely ain't Luton.

Email from the gal who posted that picture to www.wunderground.com saying basically that she goofed. Wrong city, wrong country. :o

Not Luton. The boats would have been nicked. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> :D

That's true, and the thieves would probably have turned up on Westen Autralian beaches as boat people!

:(
