Good programme from the Beeb but what is in Nicholas Crane's rucksack? He never opens it and it goes everywhere with him - has it got his sarnies in it or is it something more sinister? Ideas please.........

Just looking the part, not over impressed with the program, showed a shot of Cyfen Sidan covered with kite fanatics.

Could have showed all of the thousands of wading birds which frequent the beach.

Also they did not explain that kite boarding is only allowed at certain times of the year.

to be fair ken, it wasn't a documentary on kite boarding, you can't explain everything about everything on a show like that.

however, i do agree that i'm not that impressed with the show either, after the bbc did such a good job with a picture of britain, it's a shame they haven't

done an equally good job with coast.

Disappointed with the last episode about Ireland.

It was a programme about the British coastline, and therefore geology and natural history.

Probaby because it was an easy target, they concentrated on what Nicholas Crane referred to as 'The Troubles'. In the process, they didn't go into enough detail about either the coastrline or 'The Troubles' to engage the viewer. All in all it reminded me of a former friend- specious. Glossy on the surface but not a lot to commend it underneath.

This is a signature, there are many signatures like it but this one is mine
