I first came across this stuff many years ago when a friend introduced me to it for carp rig making. Its basicly plastic granules that come in several colours and can be melted in a micro wave or even a cup of hot water! You can then mould it in to whatever shape or to whatever material you want.

He gave me a bag of the stuff (which can be re melted and reused) which has lasted me years.Never seen it for sale any where till just now whilst browsing EBay for some balsa glues! Might be handy for the float makers.the "ultimate Bobbin" guys (Im trying to make my non clip line clip from it!) fly tyers and as said great for carp rigs with hook shank extensions (we used it for early "safe" benthook rigs and "withy pool" rigs. Really chuffed Ive now found a supply after all these years mines running low to say the least.Thought I would share-

Elton I couldnt do a AN friendly link as the item is in an EBay shop not in an auction. The AN Link thing in the Reply bit just gives a link to an EBay page that says "Item not listed" anyway round this?

Fear not, Budgie. Every link is friendly automatically now, so post as many interesting ones as you can, please :)

I'd be interested to hear/see how anyone gets on with this product.

Worked quite well for me, I used one of my feeder moulds and got a really good result, so then I did the same but added a hot strip of lead. This melted the plastic just enough to sink in and stick.

I also made a handle for the potato masher..........................and then put it in the dishwasher :o:o:bangin: took me ages to cut it out of the wires :)

"When through the woods and forest glades I wanderAnd hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees; When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,And hear the brook, and feel the breeze;and see the waves crash on the shore,Then sings my soul..................
