I'd have thought it unlikely as well. My set have been seriously abused and still keep on going. I check them against three other sets of scales on a regular basis and, once zeroed are accurate enough for me!

I was thinking of getting a set of those myself Rusty. I'm sure you must have just got a dodgy set as I know a few people who swear by them as it seems Worms does. I think I'd get a replacement set myself.
