What's your favourite hidaway?

Hello all,

We all have our favourite fishing peg. The one that brings us good luck almost everytime we sit there.

But, what's you favourite hidaway? The peg you go to when you're not so bothered about catching but where you feel most at ease and relaxed.

Mine's a stretch of Leven Canal up near the River Hull end. Very seldom gets fished since it's about 2 miles down a gravel track. The last time I fished it, the only other liveing creatures I saw were a brace of Tench, some fine Roach, a heron and all the other small birds and mammals that call the canal bank home. Didn't even see the bailiff to come and collect my £3 !!! Bliss.

Hi Chris

Mine is a peg on the river severn between Atcham and lower brompton farm,it is about a mile walk from the nearest car park so you dont get disturbed to much, it is also on a large bend on the river. There some fast runs, deep runs, open water, streamer weeds and overhanging tree's all on the same swim. There is also a nice flat comfortable bank as well for those long summer night sessions.

Roll on the 16th can't wait

One of my favourites is near the car park at Leven canal, just past the caravan site. At this time of year however it's practically unfishable due to the water lilies and other submerged flora :( The pub in Leven is another good reason to fish there too....
