We had a small get together at Fritton lake a few years ago when Newt & Mrs Newt came over. Vagabond and the Burgess Bros came along, Vagabond caught my gatepost whilst parking and Budgie caught bugger all!

 

Re a Zander fish in, perhaps we could try the River Bure? ;)

 

Why dont we do Beccles Cut or the Waveney there?

I'm lucky to go fishing everyday (when the FPO allows me)

I would be up for it but timing is everything. I had a total knee replacement 6 weeks ago and will be having the other done on Nov. 24. I can manage fishing now (I have been a few times in the past three weeks but only at the club pits where I can park behind the peg. I will keep an eye on the thread but pencil me in for now.

Definitely up for a Zed or Pike hunt!

I'm in, pending exact date and timing. Need about 2-3 weeks notice for getting time off work, thats all.

I'll bring biscuits..... and pepperami!

This Years' Targets:- As many species by lure as possible. Preferably via Kayak. 15lb+ Pike on Lure...

Species Caught 2012- Pike, Perch.

Kayak Launches- Fresh-8 Salt- 0

Kayak Captures- 14 Pike, 1 Perch.

KLAA will usually do you a 1/2 price club book at the back end of the season, allowing you to night fish on any of their waters. Loads of good pike and zander fishing. I would be interested but I'm afraid I won't offer to organise this one as I've just got too much on between now and then.

 

For zander, I would suggest somewhere where there are plenty of small ones rather than the chance of a biggie. I'm a bit out of the loop now. In years gone by this would have been the cut-off, now perhaps the Ouse?

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

'Fraid I'm of no help to organise this. Not my territory. Anyone local wish to volunteer to organise this and possibly book on our behalf?

Still alive, just!

 

It is the inevitable cycle of forums, there is a degree of repeat, bit like Improve Your Coarse Fishing, so I've left it to others to do the answering. Still pop in now and again, just to see if other old timers are still alive, or if there is a good carp related 'stir' going on!!

 

Benacre, Beccles would be good, as would Geldeston.

Let you know monday how the ouse is, gonna fish ely town for the zeds and pike, heard it is fishing well, but we'll see.
