Not a lot, but my needs are simple

Oh! I see I guess you mean on the fishing tackle front rather than what I would really like to find in stockings this Christmas, sitting at the bottom of my bed when I wake...hehehe.

 

Pity! I was hoping you had found a real working genie in a lamp and was about to share it out...hehehe.

 

Good health to keep on living and hopefully fishing with much less pain

A as good as new ABU 123 legerlite in hollow fibreglass

A new or as good as new Mitchell 308 the original type, even the 1970's version would suffice

A set of ABU match rods a Mk5, a Mk6 and a Mk7 all in good condition naturally hollow glassfibre and all 13'

A good and reliable telescopic landing net handle about 10' long

A plastic lightweight float box - I have the floats but the wooden boxes are so heavy for me these days

 

Ah well! I can only dream... perhaps I might find someone to give some of my fishing knowledge and stranger bait tips to so all the years of trial, experiment and experience could help others...that wont happen now river fishing is all but a thing of the past, as more and more of my friends and associates die all taking with them knowledge gained through countless years of river fishing and tried and tested methods. Nowadays everything has to be instant sterilized politically correct and off the shelf. This is certainly a Toad rapidly pasting his sell by date.

A Shakepeare Mach I XT to go with the one I have, which I love (I know the Mach IIIs are better but I like the gold one and besides, I want them to match). Then I have matching reels for my quivers.

 

Chocolate coins.

 

Some valium.

 

...and to get the up and coming endoscopy over and done with. I was vomiting and crapping gravy for 8 weeks recently and it's suspected I might have Chrones....or an ulcer but given the option of the 2, I'll take the ulcer.

Sorry to hear that Andy

 

Just a thought get them to check your blood again for infection caused by someone preparing food without washing their hands after using the toilet. I had a problem with that a few years ago it took nearly a year of tests then 2 years on and off antibiotics to get rid of it but the symptoms where identical and the same two problems where suspected.

She ordered one for me last year and I was delighted with it and so she decided to do another one. She has been going over my snaps over the last few weeks and I have had to put up with a few digs.

 

"Stephen I can't find any pictures of any Wels or Claris Catfish, oh yeah you never caught any but look I found the pictures of the ones I caught"

 

"Stephen, I can't find any pictures of any big Common Carp, but the one I caught in Norfolk looks good. I think I will get a big print of that one. Oh and the one I caught at Lake John is good aswell. Oh look Stephen there is one of you. That was 11lb I think"

 

"Stephen out of the little Sawai catfish you caught in Thailand, which looks the biggest. Funny how I caught about 10 over 20lb and you were so keen to catch one and your best was 18lb, maybe I should have let you strike one of the runs on my rod"

 

"Stephen it's a shame none of the Mirror Carp you caught had as many scales as the one I did"

 

I'm getting used to being out fished. Can't work out why it happens, she casts in to spots that I would ignore, picks baits I have no faith in, but it seems to work. At first I though it was just luck, but it is happening far to often to be just luck.

 

I did think of doing her an album but sorting through the photo's would hurt to much. To many memories of being out fished :D
