Just thought I'd write to see where you all look to get weather forecasts. Generally I will start looking for forecasts about this time of week whilst trying to plan where to go and which day to fish for the coming weekend. Websites I've used are:

http://weather.co.uk/

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/

http://www.metoffice.com/weather/europe/

Normally these show completely different forecasts for anything greater than 2 days in advance. I've not yet figured out which one is more accurate.

Where do you all get your forceasts and which do you conider to be the most accurate?

http://www.wunderground.com/ and put in the nearest large city. Weather, sunrise/set, moon rise/set, and all sorts of other interesting information.

The link will default to the US but if you put in a UK city, it will change and will remember where you set it for next time you use it.

I find the met office the best. alot of other sitese.g the bbc use data supplied by the met office.

However as it seems the the MOD cant organise a **** up in a brewery and the fact that the met office is part of the MOD it is quite lickely that it will be wrong.

Have a look at http://www.metcheck.com lots of info but I'm not too sure of its accuracy. The site seems to contradict itself with predictions for the same county but over different timespans.

For sunrise and sunset times try http://www.onlineweather.co.uk Of all the weather sites I've used over the years this is the one I've found most accurate for my local area, East Kent. It's just been taken over by another good site, http://www.accuweather.co.uk which is US owned. In general I've found the US forecasts not so accurate, but I imagine the Online team will do accuweather's forecasts. In case these aren't co.uk addresses also try .com in each case.

I also like http://www.weather.co.uk especially for hourly forecasts. The BBC site and the Met. Office site I don't find so helpful as they don't (or didn't last time I looked) do 5 day forecasts.

For a monthly forecast try http://www.metcheck.com. I've just started using this, and so far at least it's been surprisingly accurate for such a long range forecast.
