Mullet give a great scrap but a lure caught pollock takes some beating - once they hit 4 or 5 lbs, I think they must go in to have a motor fitted.

I know it says "Fish", but my mate hooked a sheep on the back cast at Tenterden Trout Fishery and he reckoned that it went a bit, best fight he ever had.

He even had to wrestle with it to get his fly back.

Never caught a mullet, but i think pond for pound it would have to be perch then barbel

 

lmao a sheep wow i once caught a seagull on a deadbait, that fought a fair bit and tried to bite me hand off whilst unhooking :D

I aint quite as hardcore as u2 wiv your sheep and seagull, i hooked a duck once tho, not in the mouth on the wing, snapped ,my blody line, shouldn't of been trying to eat my float then shud it

Not native but I know you have some - pumpkinseed & bluegill (close relatives) have to be right up there.
