Im off to fish the local resi tomorrow, i'm hoping for roach and skimmers and maybe a lucky bream but will settle for anything this time of year :D

 

The approach will be bread crumb/punch or pinkies for skimmers, would like to float fish but think the wind has other idea's :(

 

I know it can be hard to do but i try and ignore the wind and see it from a fishes point of view as it can be perfect feeding time for them especially as it being a warm wind.

It stirs up the bottom and gets them going i think, also the ripples ( waves as it might be ) dont give you away so much with splashing and such.

Ive had my best catches in these conditions and expect others on this forum have as well .

Im sure we all draw the line at persistent driving rain thou so lets all hope for little or no rain :)

This weekend I'll be doing DIY and getting annyoed with it, wishing I were outside in the peace and quiet with a wet line!

I've caught a big fat zero :D This will be my first trip of the year. I have been procrastinating the last few weeks and finding a hundred and one other things that need doing other then fishing. Now it's time to get down to the serious business of fishing and have decided to spend the next couple of months targeting Perch.

Hopefully bivvy up on a local river, dead bait 2 rods on the buzzers. Then hope the big pike are hungry and hope my divvy don't blow away when I'm into one

 

Yeah think I might get over 2 bishops with a couple of deads on my buzzers, I hear they got some serious preds in there

Good luck to all those venturing out tomorrow whatever your target fish , Trying lives [if we can catch some] deads / lobs for Perch/Chub jigging for the same and if that don`t work then some of that controlled drifting may have to come into play .

The best bit ....there is a very high lightlyhood of a rowing eight of very fit young ladys straining there bodies in there super tight spandex garb to look at passing the time between fish B) ,god i love the Thames :lol: steve.

We are not putting it back it is a lump now put that curry down and go and get the scales

have I told you abouit the cruise control on my Volvo ,,,,,,,bla bla bla Barder rod has it come yet?? and don`t even start me on Chris Lythe :bleh::icecream:

I've got a pass for Sunday (hurrah) and with the very mild weather the river should be in form and the chub should be feeding well. I might sneak an hour or two in tomorrow, but it's unlikely.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music
