Anyone have an undesrtanding of fish Biology.

Well I know that some people who keep tropical fish sometime have fish leap out of the tank to be found a day or two later.

 

They are a little dry but some of the fish returned do survive !!

I think you will find that different species of fish have various tolerances. Some will survive longer out of water whilst others won't, just like in the water when there are low levels/flows, hot temperatures and less dissolved oxygen. In Barbel i have firm evidence that i am still catching the same fish that i was catching 20-25 years ago, and they are frequently caught by others and myself nowadays sometimes 2-3times a week in some cases. Some are more elusive however and are caught 4-5 times a season...Ray
