ohh i miss my old dog.. (true story) remember bringing him with me fishing for the first time. every cast, he was behind me waiting for the feeder to try and grab it! thankfully he never did! anyway bout hour/ hour and a half into session i hooked a nice large perch and was reeling him in AND.... you guessed it a big pike grabed it. he wasnt hooked just held onto the perch. ( have heard many a story where a pike would do similar all the way to the bank and let go at last minute)so with that in mind i slowly played him and had net ready well in advance JUST INCASE! well my lil companion(first time remeber) was at the edge of the bank tail wagging anxiously and without warning jumped in at the pike and managed to catch it and land it without a single mark. well needless to say that just took the **** outta me i just sat there lookin at him lookin at me with the pike at his feet. well for every person who said the following including me if i got a penny every time... if i only had a camera!

 

well that day he put me to shame, a first timer landed the bigest catch of the day, a first timer, a feckin dog!

 

alas sadly he is no longer with me, dont get me wrong hes not dead, just in a new home, sometimes im sorry i had to give him up but it was better for him, larger garden and all that!
