Nugg - I have no idea how widely dispersed zander are in the UK but they can certainly live and thrive any where that pike do.

Have you tried the canal?

Im sure theres some in there. Also Pebley Reservoir holds some easy pike into 30lbs.

Graves Park ponds have Perch and pike but not easy fishing but its free.

Underbank Reservoir also holds big Pike.

Hope this helps.

there are 3 ponds....you cant fish the top one because thats a sh**y duck pond. but the other two are ok to fish....some big carp too. You wouldnt think it of an extremely rundown pool. At least the waters ok though.

I have only had one fish on here but I got busted proper!

Thanks for the message Darth. It would be good to chat with another local piker. This winter i have concentrated on the Canal around Tinsley Marina with good results. Also Dam Flask and Ulley Res. Hope to speek to you soon.

Agreed, but as there are few, if any marine links, I would rather doubt that they have spread that far north, no doubt someone will now tell me that have seen them that far north, if so it will be something of a surprise to me. If so they must have been transported in egg form by birds, which again I doubt.
