Hunting ban

Now that a total ban has been proposed, where do us anglers stand?

If you think the animal rights people will stop at hunting with dogs, then your in cloud cuckoo land.

it a smoke screen to get us to focus away from parliament lies and scheming ,when it goes to the lords it will be amended and perhaps WILL become licenced , if the commons use the parliament bill to force it through unchanged then they surely will lose the election ,if the tories get back in then it will be reinstated :)

Oh god, here we go again. Presumably the Countryside Alliance Ministry of Misinformation is at it again. Why can't they just sod off and stop trying to take us anglers down with their sinking ship?

Atleast once this fox hunting ban is thankfully up and running then perhaps angling will have to pull its fingers out and maybe have to join forces with the shooters for example.

I for one simply won't have any truck with the CA whilst it blatently needs dear old plebian angling as fodder to support fox hunting with dogs.

Peter - how about if they started using cats rather than dogs?

They'd never catch a fox.

They'd be too busy stopping in my garden to crap

Hi all

maybe they should use different dogs like poodles and give the foxes a chance :D that way they could still do it or maybe ask the foxes if they mind being ripped to bits by dogs.

what happens to these foxes after, are they just left where they die???

personnaly i couldnt give a rats butt how they do it but it is abit like going out with 200 men to catch 1 man seems abit unfair maybe they should use one dog to even it up.crap sport

as for fishing they can keep well away from that area if you ask me(but they probably wont) :(

personnaly i think of sport as one hook one fish=even

20 horses and one dog=even despite whats happens after the dog catches=culling

you can go to a pond for a week and still leave without having caught nothing=fair but unfortunate

Newt, we do get hunting packs of cats in the UK. They are thinly disguised as inebriated, catawauling 'older' women on the pull on a Friday night. From a fella's perspective the phenomenon is usually refered to as 'Grab a Granny Night'! Mutually advantageous to both parties! One offers stamina, the other experience and no ties either way.

I don,t see the ban on hunting having any sway with the fishing community. Fishing has come a long way with regards to returns and fish handling. I know very few folk who fish AND hunt.

Can I also ask what comparison there is between fishing and ruining 100,s of acres of land and fences with 10,000 tons of horses in order to maul a Fox?

Frankly there is no comparison. One is wholesome, fair and looked upon by sensible folk as a leisurely pursuit. The other is a mindless show of strength and money.

The average person cannot see ANY fairness in hunting. The average person however HAS at one time or another, been fishing with someone they can relate to.

The average person CANNOT relate to someone who sits on a Horse and snivels down thier nose at you for being a pleb.
