On a lake I tend to fish 'one up one down', Ledger for a big Carp or Tench and fish on the surface or float to keep me busy.

Last week the Carp were quiet so I dropped in some trout paste where I could see some 'tenchy' bubbles rising - pulled in a little roach with a great big perch hanging off its tail! All change to having a go for the Perch! (Until the Carp started Slurping - then it's back to the doggie biscuits).

On Rivers I tend to be more specific (too much kit to carry) but will swap if the opportunity arises.

Sooo, I like to catch - but a Nessie Hmmmmm

Jealousy: totally irrational anger directed at people who happen to be richer, prettier, thinner, cleverer and more successful than you are.

Thats exactly what I do so that it is never boring for too long!!!

A good fish is not necessarily a big fish. What makes a good fish, is something well proportioned and healthy looking.

rob,

Actually, I never get too upset. After all, a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work :D

Usually, I blank when I'm fishing a river on my own.
