Ive been there, but did not fish the lake onsite Emerald Pools are nearby at Huntspill and are a better bet even if you have to pay.

The sea angling in the Bristol Channel is pretty good to, perhaps others can advise.

Yep butiaboy I was there last year and fished both the pools.

The pools are probably more suited to the specimen aproach with the main species being carp and bream, with some biggies I may add.

Saying that they do apperently hold a variety of species including trout.

The fishing is free 24hrs a day aslong as you are a guest of the site and there is plenty of pegs to choose from.

There is also a small section of the on-site shop that is put aside for a limited amount of tackle and bait.

Something worth looking out for is a tackle warehouse called Weekend Angler which is only a mile or so from the site and is usually advertised along side the main road. Here you will find a great range of the P.A. Megabaits range at discount prices, I seemed to do best on the pools using their red fishmeal groundbait.

Eat right, stay fit, die anyway.

oops forgot.........

There is a nice pool just up the road from the site, think it is called Appex, deffinately worth a look.

Ferret might be able to help with more info as he knows the area quite well.

Ah Burnham. :)

Try fishing the river Brue, big bream and loads of silver fish to be had.

I'm not a pool angler so can't really say anything about them.

As Anthony say Apex is only a stones throw away and does look very fishable for a pole angler.

Loads of folk feed the water birds there so I'd say fish near the carpark if you can as that's where the fish would be waiting for meal time. :)

If you do fancy the Brue I can recommend a nice stretch and it was only a quid a day to fish it last time I went.(1967) (only kidding) :):):)
