Phone the EA hotline and report pollution...

I wonder if complaints sent to the Letters page of the angling weeklys would bring a result?

Have to say though, the lack of interest shown by the EA is frankly appalling, and these people are supposed to be protecting our rivers? Biggest load of BS I've heard since the last set of party political broadcasts

Absolutly John, I honestly think all their botherd about is getting rod licence money off anglers and really don't give a toss about them or the enviroment.

Ken, at the moment i've got that much going on I really just can't be botherd sending letters of complaint etc. This isn't the first time this has happened, they've promised me feedback on other pollution incidents and i've heard naff all of them. On only one occassion (I think it was earlier this year) they got back to me telling me they where going to prosectute an indian resteraunt "this time" and that's after me reporting pollution on several occassions over a period of time.

Tigger,

Then it's hard to tell if you are reporting an "environmental issue" or "sour grapes" toward EA in this thread. If you don't follow up (on both the EA and the pollution) who should? I can see why you say, "Phone, things don't work quite the same over here m8." If you care enough you have to follow up.
