hi all only just spotted this section before this i was just going straight to the course section.

 

tropical freshwater keper here, one very friendly and boistours oscar (black with a vivid orange leopard spot patteren) 4 ciclids and 2 croaking catfish. tank is small enough. had to get rid of large tank with the move. ohh well

firemouths are nice but i was thinking of some kirbs..i know i know ..too popular.. but what i want are some small to medium mouth brooders that are easily breed.

well oscar bout size of a 3 spot gourami so atm he /she/it is still small and will well out live the kirbs befor big enough to eat em. besides was using kirbs as a sample not what i want!

i really like the look of the the red-finned cichlid ( labeotropheus trewavasae.i find them very visualy pleasing. but it is the female that mouthbroods rather that the male as with most mouthbrooders.

 

an other possability is the nyasa blue cichlid ( pseudotropheus zebra)

 

you may have noticed that the two examples i have choosen are blue,but a striking blue i must admit.
