I caught my first tench!

 

And my first crucian.

 

And, more bizarrely - my first crayfish.

I would agree it looks like an F1 carp to me (crucian/common carp hybrid)

Took his word on the crucian as well, but could well be a hybrid.

I caught a nice tench at the weekend. I think I could become obsessed, too. Lovely fish and a great fight.

I notice from your profile that you are from London, in which case if you like tench and crucians I strongly recomend a trip or two to Milton lake at Old bury Hill - I have a day or three there every summer, It's a bit expensive at £11 for a day ticket, but I've not had a blank day there yet!

 

It's a good idea to phone ahead though, Milton Lake is booked out for matches quite often.
