Hospitals and Organ removals

You will all have noticed this is very much in the news at present.

What are your thoughts? What are the parents looking for?

hopefully to get it stopped and compensation because it didnt .

its a bit pointless having the donor card if your bodies going to be stripped anyway :mad: its not as if its being used to save someones life but being chucked in a "organ" sideshow for medics to gawk at.

hopefully no indians have been stripped as their religeon requires them to be complete before they can go to indian "heaven" they even save the afterbirth for the occasion if they get a whiff of indian bottling then watch out

This might seem a little cold but what the hell,as far as I am concerned when I'm gone they can do what they like with my body,I have two daughters if either passed on before me I would not be bothered what parts they took if it were to help others, my girls wouldn't need them thats not to say I don't love my daughters I love them as much as you could love any child its just sense,I wonder if among the genuinely concerned parents there arn't a few who only have eyes for a bit of compensataion.

chesters even if some are for medics to gawp at it still helps,the medics will in the future be helping save others at least the medics will know what there looking at and will know the difference between your bo--cks and your kidney.

no one would bother if the organs WERE used to save someone but usually it needs to be done at the onset of death (or if you dont trust anyone like me BEFORE death) it seems tho the organs are stored in jars and not available to the people who could be saved by them just for the amusement of the collector

at least one of them had their child "returned" to them without a brain :mad: now correct me if i`m wrong but we cant do brain transplants yet :confused: therefore its of no use except for research and thats an option for the next of kin not a doctor ,ofcourse when said organs suddenly appear the parents go through the same trauma as they did when the child died in the first place :mad: ontop of that is the permissions to exhume the body and then the costs to rebury it again with the missing parts

if it was any other country they WOULD have to pay for organs ,perhaps the organs are being sold to such countries to prop up the part time consultants wages that are supposed to work for the nhs now :mad: or to use in their private practises where they work instead of the nhs :mad:

Just before we get to hyped up over the NHS in general, I asked this question for a valid reason and would appreciate it if we could stay on the question asked.

I carry and have placed Organ Donor Cards in any place that I think they might be found. I am not a well person but all the same I can console myself that my eventual demise will not be in vain anything that I have and can give when I die might be for the good of someone else I give it freely to any race,creed or religion. If something has to be pickled which might help research in the future let it be so.

I believe in something after death but I do not know what,so I guess in some way that I am religious.

My feeling's on what will happen when I am pushing up daisies is that all I will leave is memories and if just one person remembers me I will be Immortal.

PLEASE PLEASE do not read any morbidity into these words because I don't suffer from it. Life is for living to the full and to the best of your ability. I have stared death in the face several times and have only felt peaceful.

People who take organs from loved one's without permission are ghouls no better than Burke and Hare. As for people who seek compensation how will that help there deceased, it will not, it will only make the living profit from death.

i wonder if what they are talking about in some cases are tissue samples that were taken for research,as nasty as it is to think about such things the only way forward to beat cancer in all its forms for eg.is research.

When i started nursing back in the dark ages children always died of leukaeimia there was no meaning full treatment...so different now thanks to research.
