I have seen something I would like to bid on but when I bid I get a box saying "This item cannot be sent to France" which blocks the bid.

 

I have contacted the seller and he says he would be happy to post to France.

I can't even bid and have the item sent to a UK address.

 

Anyone know of a way around it?

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

Sorry, no. But you could contact the seller with your maximum bid in the hope that he'll do you a buy-it-now and withdraw the item from auction - depends how bad you want it.

If there are no bids on it ask him to revise the item to show world wide

my mind not only wanders-- sometimes it leaves completely.

All the seller has to do if he wished to sell to you in France is to go into the edit function on the item and tick that he is prepared to ship to France your bid would then be accepted, he has obversely restricted his original listing to the UK only and omitted the EU.

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

Les offered, I would buy send it on to you too. I am at the PO 2 or 3 times a week sending stuff off and often to Europe too. Do you have paypal?

Dave don;t know what your outcome was BUT if you ever get stuck again give me a shout!! And the seller CAN alter the listing unless it is less than 12 hours to go after that he can ONLY add a piece, which is of no use at all!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))
