STOCKHOLM, Sweden (Reuters) - Basic foods eaten by millions around the world

such as bread, biscuits, chips and French fries contain alarmingly high

quantities of acrylamide, a substance believed to cause cancer, Swedish

scientists said Wednesday.

I don't doubt it for one minute,but what do you do?

 

Almost every day one group of scientists somewhere will tell you that something is bad for you,probably five years later they'll decide they got it wrong and it's actually quite good for you.

 

My solution,stuff them all,just eat what you want,you're going to be dead for an awful long time.

 

Having said that, I do eat a sensible diet as I know it, but ignore all the latest fads and fancies of the scientists

there was a couple of foody quotes/fads one was that fibre is good for you (based on a african village) and that olive oil is good for you (based on i think a italian village) unfortunatly the result of the "work" as most are very biased ,when a villager was subjected to "outside "influences i.e stress etc although still eating the same diet as before suffered illnesses just the same as we do.

to get funding headline catching revelations need to be pumped out all the time ,no-one is going to give funding to quiet organizations hence there was volcanoe research (now super volcanoe ) meteor research (now super meteor) etc etc all findings are based on statistics ,statistics can be adjusted, i.e " crime has risen by 100% in a norfolk village " reality :there was 1 criminal act last year and 2 this year ,in this context hardly front page news.

all research is based on lies otherwise no one would care a toss ,the facts are never seen only the facts which effect funding .never believe anything written ,spoken ,or heard ,trust no-one especially where money (funding) is concerned.

to keep their jobs people will tell you anything without that funding there is no job.
